My Background
Hi, I am Michael, founder of the FenTec Consulting LLC.
I started my professional career in 1990 with a three-year apprenticeship as a cabinet maker in Germany.
After working for five more years as a journeyman I decided to go back to school to get my Woodworking Master Craftsman’s diploma (Meisterbrief).
Fulfilling a childhood dream, I moved to the U.S.A. in 2002, subsequently working for two German window hardware companies for the following eleven years.
In 2013 I joined Menck Windows, a European window & door manufacturing start-up venture in Massachusetts, as their Director of R&D and Technology Transfer.
Recognizing the challenges of establishing a European window and door line and managing the essential transatlantic business relationships, I founded the FenTec Consulting LLC in 2017. My goal was to use my connections and experiences to assist other window manufacturers with their implementation of a new, or expansion of an existing European window and door line.
